01

The brief

Families for Peace supports families displaced by war. Alongside that support, the charity acts as a place for refugees to find information and connect with their temporary communities. Its visual identity needed to feel approachable and friendly, reflecting the people and relationships at the heart of its work.

Exploring the direction

Several approaches to the identity were developed. The exploration considered how the charity could present itself with warmth while maintaining a clear, recognisable presence. Showing distinct directions created a basis for comparing the character of each route and deciding which best suited the organisation.

An identity across formats

The project images include logo studies, responsive logo arrangements and poster applications. These show how the identity can move between a compact mark and a larger communication. The selected direction is presented alongside earlier colour treatments, making the development of the visual language visible.

Showing the thinking

The gallery also includes unused concepts, labelled as such. They form part of the design exploration, rather than additional finished identities. Keeping that distinction clear allows the case study to show both the chosen direction and the range of thinking behind the work, without implying every route was put into use.
